This month has been a long, tough, whirlwind already. Being a new business owner and single Mom leaves almost no time for me to accomplish the things I want, in a timeframe that I would like.

I’ve been struggling through January and February to complete an art installation that is very close to my heart. I’ve almost thrown my hands up twice and put it aside for good. But I just can’t quit on it.

As a matter of fact, I can’t seem to quit on anything - which is a good thing, since the only thing that gets me through is just pushing forward. Every day, one more step, even if it’s backward, it’s something and I’m learning and growing through it all.

As I grind away at life every day, I get tired, I get discouraged, more often than not I feel like I’m failing. But I’ve worked hard to build a community of friends and family around me who help me take stock of my situation and find evidence that I am in fact moving forward.

The hard work, fear and stress will all pay off. That’s the truth in all of this.
